[読んだ] Enigmo 2 – Games, Reviews – 148Apps – iPhone App and Game Reviews and News

Overall, I’d say that Enigmo 2 is a must have experience for any veteran puzzle solver/Enigmo fan. If you are weak of mind/ have little patience/ have children, I would definitely try a different game. Maybe one with guns and havoc. The game is definitely kid-friendly, as long as you don’t let your kid play too long. I promise that a 10 year old Chris Hall would have thrown the iPhone into a wall, regardless of how much trouble I would’ve gotten into. At the time of the review, Enigmo 2 is only $2.99, making it an absolute must buy, assuming you don’t have to spend another $200 fixing the screen after a bout of anger. For less than the price of a $6 Teriyaki Burger at Carl’s Junior, this one can be yours… all yours.

All in all Boxed In is a good but not great app. It approaches greatness and could perhaps get there with an update that fixes the controls and adds some sound. Boxed In does have long, challenging, and solid gameplay to make it one of the most solid apps of 2009. The app is free for a limited time though so for the money it is a very good app and definitely worth a download. Go download Boxed In.

[読んだ] MindMeister releases iPhone App for those eureka mind-mapping moments

Media_httpcyberworkercoukimageaxdpicturepicture1horipng_sadwbdagnhzrrye
MindMeister - a German-Austrian startup - felt the IPhone app would really give them a head start on developing their own app. And it looks like it has, because there are some key differences. Namely this new app supports sharing mind maps and also supports mindmeister’s “geistesblitz” or “brainwave” feature which allows you to insert those brilliant eureka ideas that you get when you’re in the bathroom into your default mind map on the mindmeister site. Perfect for the iPhone.

見た感じは使いやすそうですね。

The game has a storyline that is well incorporated throughout presented in comic book style cut scenes that honestly conveys a strong sense of adventure and bloodletting. You control the fate of Daisuke Shimada, the wandering samurai as he ventures through the countryside dealing with the villainous Lord Hattoro and his two henchmen Kumo and Orochi. Of course, they have a significant army to carry out their misdeeds, and let’s just say that Daisuke doesn’t take too kindly to village bullies.

Hack and slash is the name of the game, and you’ll be doing plenty of that. Samurai has two game modes: Story and Dojo. Story mode consists of 7 chapters and variety of different enemies presented like a short novel or Japanese DVD. Dojo mode is a survival mode where Daisuke battles fellow hack and slashers in a ring for as long as possible.

[読んだ] How To Print From Your iPhone or iPod touch - Solutions by PC Magazine

There's no truly great iPhone printing app. All the ones I tried are kludgey and have serious limitations. Either they can only print to one brand of printer, they're buggy, they can't print photos on the iPhone itself, or they require additional software. But you might be able to find something useful in the bunch.

[読んだ] More Evidence That Snow Leopard Is a Touchscreen Operating System | Cult of Mac

The more I play with Snow Leopard, the more it looks like it’s designed to run Apple’s upcoming tablet.

Look at Expose in the Dock — the new feature that reveals all an application’s open windows when you click and hold the application’s icon. It’s tailor-made for fingers. Even more convincing is Stacks in the Dock. Hit a folder icon in the dock, and up pops the folder and all its files. Each icon is a big target for your finger, and the window has a big, fat slider for scrolling up and down (no more fiddly little arrows at the top or bottom). Both of these UI tweaks scream ‘touchscreen.’

And then today I discovered an unheralded feature that the minute I saw it, I thought, “Game over! Here’s rock-solid proof that Snow Leopard is designed for touchscreens. This is a tablet operating system.”

The new UI element s a virtual keyboard, a must-have for a tablet. Snow Leopard includes a big virtual keyboard that looks clearly designed for typing on a touchscreen. It’s a big, bold version of the iPhone’s virtual keyboard with large keys that scream “type me!”

New iPhone App 'Outbreaks Near Me' Locates H1N1 (Swine Flu), Infectious Diseases | Reuters

A new iPhone application, created by researchers at Children's Hospital Boston in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, enables users to track and report outbreaks of infectious diseases, such as H1N1 (swine flu), on the ground in real time. The application, "Outbreaks Near Me," builds upon the mission and proven capability of HealthMap, an online resource that collects, filters, maps and disseminates information about emerging infectious diseases, and provides a new, contextualized view of a user's specific location - pinpointing outbreaks that have been reported in the vicinity of the user and offering the opportunity to search for additional outbreak information by location or disease.
