[読んだ] MindMeister releases iPhone App for those eureka mind-mapping moments

Media_httpcyberworkercoukimageaxdpicturepicture1horipng_sadwbdagnhzrrye
MindMeister - a German-Austrian startup - felt the IPhone app would really give them a head start on developing their own app. And it looks like it has, because there are some key differences. Namely this new app supports sharing mind maps and also supports mindmeister’s “geistesblitz” or “brainwave” feature which allows you to insert those brilliant eureka ideas that you get when you’re in the bathroom into your default mind map on the mindmeister site. Perfect for the iPhone.

見た感じは使いやすそうですね。
でもApp Storeのレビューでは辛口の評価が目立ちます。

[読んだ] New iPhone App 'Outbreaks Near Me' Locates H1N1 (Swine Flu), Infectious Diseases | Reuters

A new iPhone application, created by researchers at Children's Hospital Boston in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, enables users to track and report outbreaks of infectious diseases, such as H1N1 (swine flu), on the ground in real time. The application, "Outbreaks Near Me," builds upon the mission and proven capability of HealthMap, an online resource that collects, filters, maps and disseminates information about emerging infectious diseases, and provides a new, contextualized view of a user's specific location - pinpointing outbreaks that have been reported in the vicinity of the user and offering the opportunity to search for additional outbreak information by location or disease.

[読んだ] RobotVision: A Bing-Powered iPhone Augmented Reality Browser

robotvisionpics350.jpg

Bing Local Search has some interesting features you won't find in Google, so the prospect of seeing Bing listings appear on top of your iPhone's camera viewer when you point at a restaurant or business is intriguing. That's what forthcoming iPhone app RobotVision offers - and it displays a view of Tweets and Flickr photos published nearby wherever you are.

RobotVision is a new Augmented Reality (AR) app for the iPhone 3Gs. It's not available yet, but it will be as soon as AR apps are formally welcomed into the App Store by Apple, probably sometime next month. AR browsers "turn the world inside out" by exposing latent online information about your surroundings; there will soon be enough of them that they will compete based on user experience. RobotVision looks like it could be a good one.

これは面白いですね。
是が非でも次のiPod touchにはカメラを付けてもらわないと。

[読んだ] TUAW Launches iPhone App

Our friends over at The Unofficial Apple Weblog just launched a new iPhone app (already #3 in the free news category on the App Store), available now via iTunes [iTunes link] and via the TUAW app page.

You mobile Mac-heads out there probably know about i.tuaw.com, the iPhone-optimized version of TUAW. Why go native? The new app offers offline browsing, allows you to bookmark articles for later reading, features Twitter/e-mail/Facebook-sharing capability, and lets you view that retro Mac design gallery in glorious full screen.

なかなか良さげです。

[読んだ] iPhone App Automatically Picks the News You’ll Like

Reading RSS feeds in your Google Reader (Google Reader) is fine, but sometimes we feel like RSS could be a lot more dynamic, not to mention less time-consuming. We have habits and tendencies. We like to read stories about certain things and skip others. Some of us love Twitter, others prefer news about iPhone development. Why can’t these RSS readers read our minds and give us what we want? The my6sense iPhone app does essentially that. The app, which has been stuck in the limbo of
Apple’s archaic review process for weeks, has finally made its debut in the iPhone App Store. Along with being a solid mobile RSS reader, my6sense monitors what you read and uses that info to generate a customized feed of articles you’ll want to read.

これは試してみる価値ありそうですね。
